CLASS PLANNING

Topics: English Basics – The verb “To be”, simple adjectives, numbers (21-50) and structure of a simple sentence.

General objective:  The student will be introduced the first important verb, the structure of a simple sentence and the names and spelling of the numbers from 21 to 50.

Specific objective 1: The student will reinforce the spelling from the last class in the spelling of simple adjectives.

Specific objective 2: The student will reinforce the numbers from 1-20 and will learn the numbers from 21 – 50.

Specific objective 3: The student will be able to recognise and use the conjugation of the verb “to be” in simple present, describing himself / herself or describing others with simple adjectives.

Dynamics:

1.    The student will hand in his/her homework while they write in the whiteboard the numbers from 1-20.
2.    The student will spell the adjectives they have investigated and he/she will try to describe them.
3.    The students will spell the numbers and repeat their sound.
4.    The teacher will conjugate the verb to be in present simple.
5.    The teacher will give examples of the use of the verb to be.
6.    The students will create simple sentences using their adjectives and the verb to be in simple present.
7.    The teacher will show to the class the structure of the simple sentence.

Observations:

1.    Problems with the “th”, “v” and “ine” sound.
2.    The student asked me to skip the numbers from 21 – 50 and start with big numbers of the sort of the thousand range and above.
3.    The verb to be was no difficult task to understand.
4.    The student could easily understand the simple adjectives and their appropriate use.

Homework:
1.    Name some random numbers I gave him/her.
2.    Investigate some nouns and the family members.
