Topics: English Basics –
The verb “To be”, simple adjectives, numbers (21-50) and structure of a simple
sentence.
General
objective: The student will be introduced
the first important verb, the structure of a simple sentence and the names and
spelling of the numbers from 21 to 50.
Specific
objective 1: The student will reinforce the spelling from the last class in the
spelling of simple adjectives.
Specific
objective 2: The student will reinforce the numbers from 1-20 and will learn the
numbers from 21 – 50.
Specific
objective 3: The student will be able to recognise and use the conjugation of the
verb “to be” in simple present, describing himself / herself or describing
others with simple adjectives.
Dynamics:
1. The student will
hand in his/her homework while they write in the whiteboard the numbers from
1-20.
2. The student will
spell the adjectives they have investigated and he/she will try to describe
them.
3. The students will
spell the numbers and repeat their sound.
4. The teacher will
conjugate the verb to be in present simple.
5. The teacher will
give examples of the use of the verb to be.
6. The students will
create simple sentences using their adjectives and the verb to be in simple
present.
7. The teacher will
show to the class the structure of the simple sentence.
Observations:
1. Problems with the
“th”, “v” and “ine” sound.
2. The student asked
me to skip the numbers from 21 – 50 and start with big numbers of the sort of
the thousand range and above.
3. The verb to be was
no difficult task to understand.
4. The student could
easily understand the simple adjectives and their appropriate use.
Homework:
1. Name some random
numbers I gave him/her.
2. Investigate some
nouns and the family members.
